Connect in three steps
The endpoint speaks JSON-RPC over HTTPS. It accepts POST only; GET /mcp returns 405 by design. There is no SSE stream and no authentication. CORS is open, so a browser-based agent can call it directly.
1. Initialize
curl -sS -X POST https://chinatailormade.com/mcp -H 'content-type: application/json' -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"initialize","params":{"protocolVersion":"2025-03-26"}}' The response echoes the protocol version and lists the tools and resources capabilities.
2. List tools
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":2,"method":"tools/list"} 3. Call a tool
curl -sS -X POST https://chinatailormade.com/mcp -H 'content-type: application/json' -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":2,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"get_city","arguments":{"slug":"xiamen"}}}' The result arrives as text content plus structuredContent. A missing city or guide returns isError: true with a recovery hint.

Resources
Plain-text site map with cities, guides, itineraries and agent entry points.
Full city, guide, itinerary and planning-level JSON.
A portable skill explaining when and how to use the desk.
curl -sS -X POST https://chinatailormade.com/mcp -H 'content-type: application/json' -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":3,"method":"resources/read","params":{"uri":"https://chinatailormade.com/skills/china-tailor-made/SKILL.md"}}' What an agent can trust
- Practical claims cite a primary source and a last-checked date. The current site-wide check is 28 October 2026.
- City scores are editorial assessments of English, payments, transit and first-timer ease. They are not surveys or rankings.
- The desk is independent. It is not a tour operator, visa agency or booking marketplace.
- No invented reviews, ratings, prices, availability or “as seen in” logos.
- Planning fees are fixed and published. Optional supplier services are quoted separately after availability is checked.
What this endpoint does not do
- It does not book travel, collect payment or create an account.
- It cannot confirm supplier days, availability or a final price. Those are confirmed in a written quote.
- It does not decide visa eligibility. Entry decisions belong to Chinese immigration; check the official source before a non-refundable booking.
- It does not need personal data. Do not send passport numbers, payment details or private trip documents.
For the traveler
If you are the person planning the trip, start with the city guides, the practical guides or the itineraries. When the route is almost right and one decision could ruin it, the Trip Desk reviews the whole brief for a flat fee.
